High quality, general purpose woven glass cloth/fabric reinforcement suitable for a range of uses including boat building, recreational equipment, pattern and mould making and more.
This dry cloth is compatible with all resin systems and laminating methods, including resin infusion. 1m wide, sold by the linear metre.

This 280gsm woven glass fabric in a 2/2 twill weave makes for a very soft, drapable glass reinforcement ideal for a wide range of uses. The high quality E-glass fibres provide significantly improved mechanical performance over chopped strand reinforcement whilst the 2/2 twill weaves ensures that the cloth will easily conform to the shape of contoured moulds.
Typical Uses
Woven glass reinforcement is suitable for a huge range of applications including automotive, marine, architectural, theatrical and general purpose reinforcement uses.
This woven 'E' glass does not include any chemical binders and therefore is suitable for use with any resin system including epoxy, polyester and vinylester.
How to Buy
This 280g woven glass cloth is 1m (39") wide and the fabric is sold by the linear metre. The unit price shown is for 1 linear metre, volume discounts automatically apply for larger quantities of fabric. In the 'Qty' box, enter the number of linear metres you require.
Small Quantities are Folded
Woven glass reinforcement is not considered a cosmetic reinforcement and, as such, small quantities - up to 5m - will be carefully folded in a pack. This avoids long package surcharges and therefore reduces the shipping price you will pay and does not affect the performance of the material.
Orders for quantities in excess of 5m will be supplied on a roll.
If you need your fabric to be supplied on a roll for a particular application then please ensure you place an order for 6m or more.

For wet-lay lamination you will use approximately the same weight of resin as the weight of the fabric. For example, with a 200gsm cloth, for 1 square metre you will have 200g of fabric and thus will need 200g of resin to wet it out, plus a small amount of wastage for the brush and mixing pot.

The manufacturer has not been able to provide any specific CTE data for the woven glass. However, e-glass, which is what this fabric is made from, has a nominal CTE of 5.4 µm/m-°C for temperatures between -30 and 250°C.
A full roll of this fabric is 100 linear metres but on this page we're selling it by the metre so you can order as many metres as you want. If you order more than 100m then your order will be shipped on multiple rolls.
